Challenge

Bramidan had a clear ambition to modularize its product assortment in order to reduce product variants, costs, and complexity while maintaining flexibility towards different market needs. Despite a clear initiative, progress was challenged by the need to align perspectives and priorities across multiple functions.

Executive Management engaged Business Learning to take project management responsibility for the modularization program, including two pilot projects and the launch of the first modularized product.

Approach

Business Learning was selected based on strong capabilities in project management and product development. The work began by clarifying scope and establishing a Steering Committee that met biweekly to secure decision-making and continuous progress.

To support key modularization decisions, Business Learning conducted a structured analysis covering revenue and profitability per product, market segments, product purpose and positioning, and lifetime & warranty cost implications.

Based on the agreed strategic direction for the future assortment, a modular product structure was defined and expected business benefits were recalculated. An implementation roadmap was developed to ensure realization of both financial and operational gains. Finally, Business Learning supported the transition to a new Product Management Group to secure long-term governance of the product portfolio.

❝ The methodical way of working and the calm, down-to-earth manner stood out. I learned a lot from how the project was managed, how meetings were led, and how decisions were consistently upheld. ❝

— Lars Jørgensen, Director Global Service & Business Development
